Title: 360 Installation
Post by: cactusflyr on July 25, 2014, 07:35:26 AM
On my 798, I had the tranducer cable shielded by a thick rubber hose where it runs along the side with all the other wires and cables.  Installing a 999 and 360 and wondering whether to run two hoses or put them in the same hose.  I believe the unit only pings one transducer at a time?  Anybody.

Are you using the rubber hose as an RFI shield idea...or just to protect the cable from chafing and damage...??

I think the SI piezoes in the HDSI xducer are shut off when the 360 is turned on...

OK, I am going to offend the crap out of most here,  I own a 998.  Here goes,  call it healthy criticism.  I have not purchased anything American made I was happy with.  Not Dodge or Ford, not mercury or Johnson, not electronic, not Polaris, not Artic Cat, and Humminbird, and over the years, for some reason, we have come to believe that if it comes with problems, if your check engine light stays on, of the software has glitches, it is normal.  Sorry, you are decent people, but the products coming from America are nice from far, but that is it.  Again, sorry, but it is what it is.  I will buy from any other part of the world that offers quality and workmanship.

Not sure why you thought it was relevant to post that BS on this thread.....If your skill at operating your unit is anything like your posting skills....maybe that could be your problem.
