I would like to purchase a screen protector for my new 898c. I checked the Zagg website and they do not list the new 898c. I also checked the Humminbird website to find the screen size for the 898 and did not see that listed. Does anyone know if the 898 is the same size as any of the other HB Products that Zagg lists? I would measure my screen, but it's 300 miles away from me at present. Thanks to anyone.
Note: Zagg did send me a generic e-mail saying that if there were a lot of interest in a screen for the HB 898c they would get on it!

The opening for the screen on the 898 is the same size as the 997 and 998 units.
How exact do the measurements need to be?
Roughly it is 7.25 inches wide by 4.25 inches high.

Thanks Greg. Can't find anyone that sells that size so it looks like I'll have to order something and "Cut-to-Fit" myself.
Anyone out there that has done that in the past?

I ordered a Zagg shield for my 997 and Zumo 550.Put the shield on my Zumo no problem
got everything ready for the 997 slipped it on it was at least 1/4 or more inches to wide
took it off called Zagg they had no idea why it was to wide . I sent both of them back
didn't like the imperfections under the shield when it dried. Gary

somewhere in this forum is a picture of a homemade screen protector. The guy took a HB cover and cut out a hole and then put a protector screen under the cover. I will search around and see if i can find the post. Chuck

i wanted a screen protector for my new 1197. bought the invisible shield from ZAGG. tried it first on a smaller eagle 642. the result was less than acceptable. had no bubbles but it just looked wavey. i will not try it on my 1197. $30 wasted in my opinion.
