Title: Compatable Transducer for 998cSI
Post by: cache22 on February 26, 2014, 12:22:45 PM
I have an older 778ci with a xnt9 20 t transducer.  I wish to connect this TD through a TS3 W switch to my 998 for high speed operation (will abandon the 778); however, I don't see the 998SI listed on the XNT9 20 compatability list. My question is rather this TD can be safely used with the 998?

You will not get temperature but will work for dual beam.

Welcome to the Humminbird Side Imaging Forums cache22.

Yes, either the XNT-9-20 or XNT-9-20-T (you stated both models) can be used with your 998 unit.  If this is the non-“T” version it will be as bobcoy stated and you will not have water temp when switched to the XNT-9-20 transducer.
