Title: 788 ci hd error code

 about 5 minutes after startup of my 788ci hd di unit i get an  alarm sound and a message dhcp error.  hitting exit removes it from screen but is something wrong.

Maybe.
You should double-check your battery.
Load test it.  Your voltage may be dropping.
Also, re-check all of your connections.

Try to take out all your cards and reboot and see if it happens again.
Go through the process of elimination.

Do you have any reference to a dhcp error?  What the heck is that?

The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network configuration protocol for hosts on Internet Protocol (IP) networks.

Do you have ethernet hooked up?  If so check cables.

lcookie..thanks for that information..
I would guess some type of ethernet program error here..

It wont be long before the user will have to call customer suport to get the unit turned on and off. :D
