Side scan data for spatial mapping?
« on: August 23, 2021, 05:36:19 AM »
Hello, I am trying to use side scan data off a Solix G3 to map seagrass coverage and eventually overlay that map on a GIS style map.
I have recorded a few transects to collect practice data, but am struggling to work with it.

Is there software out there which will let me view my side scan data on a computer rather than just in the head unit.
Can anyone give advice on how to convert side scan data of about 50ft either side the boat into a usable form for mapping? I have seen lots of talk about converting the files to XTF. Is this the way forward?

Thanks
