Title: Using high speed transducer
Post by: Bryson on July 05, 2014, 10:24:36 AM
Hi, am new to this, I just bought 998c, I also got the transom highe speed transducer to hook with sidby cable with si.
My question is what to choose in the transducer setup section, do I keep it on HD sideimging , do I have to switch the setup when you go fast. , or dose the head unit use that as the main 2d transducer as soon as you hook it up?
Thanks

You don't have too do anything.  The Y cable eliminates the input from the built in 2D transducer in the large SI transducer and imports the signal from the stand alone 2D.

After the initial hookup just make sure that the High Def Side Scan transducer is selected in the Sonar menu and you will be good to go. The unit will get all the SI and DI from the HDSI ducer and all the 2D sonar from the 2D ducer. It's a no brainer!
