Post by: AnglerDon on June 12, 2010, 03:24:02 PM: I have an Arcoa Pontoon Baot with a heck shaped pontoon (flat bottom) I want to mount the 998C SI transducer to the back bottom pontoon as it has a bracket there already. Anyone see a problem with that mounting or any suggestions on the mounting on this type of pontoon

I am not familiar with this style pontoon. Best bet would be to take some pictures of the mounting location showing straight on and from the side and with motor trimmed down.

This way we can take a look at the situation and give you better advice.

Post by: DCDiveRescue494 on August 09, 2010, 12:04:39 AM: we have a 997sci side imaging sonar on our rescue pontoon, we mounted on the right side back of the toon where the bracket is already welded. we get great pics and no problems with that location.

Post by: werethefugowee on August 22, 2010, 11:33:22 AM: On my pontoon boat I had an aluminum bracket welded on the back of the toon, centered on the lowest point, and the transducer sits about an inch below the toon. No problems at all with turbulence of any kind.
