1198 w ilink plus?
« on: March 02, 2014, 05:09:53 PM »
If you network the hb units w the tm and Ilink can you use the waypoints on the hb as goto pts on the ilink? or do the waypts have to be marked in the I link unit? don't know if that makes sense. I have a 1198 (2) and have them networked together - they share waypoints. If I add an ilink will it recognize those waypts?

Im thinking of going to a terrova 112 w ilink and hooking my hb to it ... wish lake master had Virginia.

Yes, you can goto waypoints on your 1198 or tie the waypoints together to create a track.
**Looking for the one that makes it all worthwhile**

According to page 55 of the i-Pilot Link’s user manual [this is in the “Fishfinder Operations” side]:
“Navigate to a SAVED Waypoint
If a saved waypoint is within 1⁄4 mile of the boat position, you can start i-Pilot Link navigation
towards it.
1. From the Chart View, press the GOTO key.
2. S elect a waypoint from the list, and press the RIGHT Cursor key.
OR
1. Use the 4-WAY Cursor Control key to select a waypoint or position on the chart.
2. Press the GOTO key.
If you've selected a waypoint, navigation will start automatically.
If you've selected a position,”

I got a terrova with ilink - installed - I have an 1198 on bow and dash - they each have their own transducers and gps but I have them networked with an Ethernet cable so they can share everything...that's all cool - the new tm w ilink has an Ethernet cable to tie into the 1198 - can I and if yes how can I hook all three together. do they make a y Ethernet cable - I cant find one if they do. for now im just gonna hook the tm to the bow unit but I would love to have it so I could use both units...I have an interlink controller that I have never used - has plug in ports not screw in - not sure if I could use that to do what I want or not...gonna float it and try it tomorrow - hope I like it cuz if not its an expensive mistake..lol

I have a 36v fortrex 101 with us2 45" I will sell for $800 obro if anyone is interested
