curently i have a 798ci hd si di . 83 and 200 khz .would it be worth the money to get a xnt 9 di t transducer to get the 455 khz and what does that help im not very knowledgeable about this. or would it be better to put this money toward an upgrade in ff thank you all very much for any responce :)

The 798 came stock with the XNT 9 SI 180 T which has 83/200kHz 2d and 455kHz SI ...
The XNT 9 DI T is for HB DI units ... It has 200/455kHz 2d and 455/800kHz DI ...
There is no Menu selection in the "Transducer Selection" Menu under the Sonar tab for the 798 to transmit the correct frequencies for the XNT 9 DI T ...
The only upgrade xducer for the 798 would be the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T ...which would give somewhat better SI because the piezoes are longer creating a thinner SI pulse for better detail in the SI image ...

The HDSI transducer comes standard with the 800 and up series, but can also be used on the 798 as an upgrade. It won't get you the 800Khz frequency but will give you sharper images at 455 than the compact transducer that comes with the 798.
