Side Imaging issue with "Contour off"
« on: October 01, 2012, 10:44:59 PM »
I have just recently updated my software from 5.7 to the newest version 6.4.  I turned off my readouts and went into SI enhance and turned off the Contour to eliminate the water column.  I noticed that as soon as I hit the depth of 60'  my screen went all black and once I returned to 59' it would start to show up again.  I have my range set at 75 each way and sensitivity at 10 I believe.  Is this something that it is new with the new software or what?  I thought it was supposed to work in up to 150 of water.  Also I believe I have the max depth set at like 150 or 160.  Any help, input or info I can get will be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
Kyle

Try increasing your Si Range menu setting Kyle.

Thank you greg for the quick reply.  Is that kinda a rule of thumb to follow?  The deeper the water the wider the range you want your unit set at?  I will give it a shot this weekend and see how it goes.  Thanks again
