Have any of you played with these units yet? If so what did you think about them?

I currently own 2 of the core series, an 1198 and a 998. I thought of switching over to the Onix last year when I could have bought then @ 1/2 price but held my tonge when the Solix was announced.

Hello, I had a 988si, 1198 if and an onix if and now a solix SI MEGA.
Solix is really a must for efficiency! nothing comparable on the pleasure boat surveyors market!
I am a fisherman, diver and researcher wreck for recreation, it is a fantastic tool, if you can go directly to solix (the onix and very good too but a little below!) Helix have good performance but lack of connectivity, touch screens which explains the difference in price.

Nitro78, I started with the 798 si instead of the 988 si as you did my progression from there to Solix is the same as yours. Humminbird technology gets better every year.  You don't have to feel bad about your English.  Not everyone can speak more than one language.  Have a great day. :)
