New multi-channel sonar viewer

(1/1)

matt@reefmaster:
ReefMaster version 1.7 has now been released, and the sonar viewer has had a major makeover.

•   Support for Lowrance and Humminbird sonar log files.
•   View any combination of available channels from primary, secondary, down-scan and side-scan, with pan, grab and zoom, and playback speeds up to 30x.

•   Sophisticated gain correction for side-scan channels compensates for dark fringes and bright central area by evening out the signal curve.
•   Real time slant range correction in side-scan channels eliminates the water column and geographically corrects the remaining side-scan image.

•   Drop waypoints in any sonar channel display, with bearing and distance offset calculated for side-scan channels.

•   Measure distance in any channel display.
•   Estimate object height from shadow length in side-scan displays.
•   Innovative Mouse Tracer feature shows the current mouse position in all visible displays.
•   Export sonar viewer images to clipboard or file.

There are a bunch of other changes also, including big improvements to performance, an updated "look and feel" and an improved process for identifying and removing bad data points.

ReefMaster is not just mapping; the the sonar viewer and waypoint and track management features of ReefMaster are all available in the LITE edition, available at $75 without the 3D mapping features.
