How to Self Make Cannonlink Terminator?

Lost my Cannonlink terminator last weekend due to someone swiveled downrigger by grabbing the terminator. Prefer to buy it but I cannot find it anywhere. Understand it comes with AS CannonLink module but the module is not available either. I can only find Cannonlink relay cable on the Internet. I am thinking making a terminator myself by cutting the relay cable and put a resistor somewhere. Does anyone know whether that's feasible solution? Any idea/help is appreciated.
