Is there a way to download the bundle or purchase a download from Hummingbird? What can I do.

No, ther is no way to upgrade a unit to NVB.  Is there any particular reason you feel you should have upgraded?

You have dual SD card slots on the unit, and can have a map card in the unit and record at the same time.  Also, the NVB units still have the old 2006 charts and do not have the Platinum features.

Really, you can get much newer maps/info for less then the preloaded NVB. Since you don't have NVB anyway search for a Navionics chip that is newer then the maps in the NVB (2006 I think) but not the newest(platinum). You can really get a good deal on older model chips(last years model). Worse case is get the Platinum for your general area and now you have the most up to date and high tech maps available for about the same price as the NVB would have cost. Go to Navionics website and compair the diferences and check under "compatibility" to see which ones work with your unit. IMHO

If you live in the North East section of navionics map region be warned that you can't currently have a 2010 Navionics Platnium map loaded in the unit and still do screen shots and recordings on the 1197 units.  Humminbird does know about this and is planning to get it fixed with a software update in the future.

Are people seeing others issues when the Platinum cards are running in the unit? i.e lack of detail, slow running of unit  etc
