I fish Pickwick and have had 1197 for a couple of years. Have ordered an Onyx. The bottom is hard almost everywhere I fish and just bright return. Has anyone had and luck identifying mussel beds? Any suggestions for use on Tennessee River? I find it very difficult to see fish near bottom over the hard bottoms. Are there any sensitivity or contrast adjustments that help in these conditions. With all the big tournaments here, everyone knows all the best areas and I need to start finding some new schools.

Have you tried using the Green/Red setting in the SI Color menu?
You may still have to turn the SI Sensitivity way down.

Thank you, I will try it. I was talking to a fishing buddy (retired physics professor) today and he suggested the same thing. Has anybody posted pictures of mussel beds? I have not been able to find any.
