Title: from hummin data files to pictures
Post by: tournevase on January 12, 2022, 12:11:36 PM
hello friends
I have a problem
the equipment is HELIX 10 G4N CHIRP MEGA SI+
I have to produce a report with illustrations of the recordings with the greatest accuracy (it is for archaeological survey)
I tried with humviewer but it ussue only stupid screen shots and what is seen on the screen is not very nice
after converting .dat files from humminbird to . xtf (triton) I visualize them with good accuracy in deepview fv
note : it is better than what can be seen on the screen of the helix
but the only way to output a picture is the "print" function to a pdf instead of a conventional printer
again I find that the pdf image is not very nice
Does anyone have any ideas on how to improve that ?

note: I have autochart but I don’t yet control it

Hello,
Maybe any screenshot utility as ShareX could help you extract images on your screen (if you think your resolution is sufficient on the screen)

With these utilities, you can easily extract a fullscreen capture or only some part of your screen, even after the capture.
This way, you will obtain image files of what you want to share and you'll be able to share them on any support (paper, e-mail, ....)

I use ShareX (https://getsharex.com/), but you can use any other capture tool, even the one included in windows.

I you use the same software, don't hesitate to modify the image format and quality to your needs (attached capture)

Regards,
Xavier
