Title: Mystery Lines in my image on 998 SI
Post by: Gdog on April 28, 2013, 11:05:55 AM
I am showing these weird lines on the left image of my picture in the water column.  They are present all the time.  I even have changed out the transducer to a new one (from a previous issue with the right side not reading- unrelated).  I thought that the new trans might take care of the lines too - but they are still present.  Any ideas what could be causing this?  Images attached.

Most often those type of lines are caused by something blocking the "upper reaches" of the SI beam...motor, drain screen, trim tabs, jackplate, ladder, kicker motor...etc...

Post a pic of your xducer setup from the rear and from both sides (at xducer level)...

Also try drifting and see if they are still there or not.
