Title: Rebate Program for Helix Models announced ....REALLY???
Post by: fishreed on February 22, 2016, 01:34:04 AM: Just as I predicted, it is only February and Hummingbird just announced $200, $150, and $100 dollar Rebates on the Helix 12,10, and 9. How do you like my prognostications on marine electronics now Humminbird Helix fans? ...a brand new Onix 10 SI just went for ,$2099 on Ebay. yesterday too.

The Onix has been out for a couple of years and it wouldn't surprise me to see some US rebates on it later in the year .... it is due for an updated model / models.

Bob: the rebate says NOTHING about only being valid in Australia or New Zealand...I just called Cabelas and they told me they will honor the Rebate!

If anyone is successful using this in the US ... please let us know.

Here is a quote from a Humminbird pro staff who is the admin on that site:

"Humminbird Australia is separate division than Humminbird USA. Their promotions are different than USA promotions. There is no current promotions on Humminbird Products.

Now my Personal Opinion Talking: Why would a company rebate something that is Brand New and Selling as Fast as they can Build??? Rebates are used to stimulate sales. In my personal opinion don't think your going to see any rebates on New Products or When Sales are High."

Which is about $US1700, and comes with a 3 year warranty. I also does imperial measurements, which is fine for the US market.

Then add your rebate, which will easily cover the postage. Just hope nothing goes wrong with it, my 859DI is due for its second trip back to the repair shop.
