I have a 997 that came with the nav bundle, not sure of the nav bundle number, but it used to show very detail contour lines. Now the contour lines will show on the screen when I first turn it on for a while and then they disappear. They will pop up again and disappear for good. What gives? I did the last update 6.3 and now I switched back to the one before it (5.7?). Still no help.

Are you changing locations or zoom levels when this happens bomac?

No matter what zoom level it would not show the lines. But I used it for about 4hrs yesterday and it worked the whole time. I have my fingers crossed. Thanks for the reply.

Is this for the same location or is this for different lakes?

Well 2 different lakes but same river system. Tenn. River. Pickwick and Wilson lakes. Only a wall of concrete separates the 2 lakes.

Well both Pickwick and Wilson are listed as “High Definition Lakes” on the NVB lake list. Was this in the main body of the lake or up some of the creeks? I know that we have heard from some that are in the shallows or up some of the creeks that there are no depth contour lines there.

Out in the middle of both lakes. But I did get out with it a couple of days ago and it worked for several hours so maybe its working now. Gremlins, maybe.
