3d Printer
« on: April 27, 2016, 07:27:02 PM »
Has anyone been able to export a 3d map to a 3d printer?  I am hoping to print  the bottom of my lake!

Thanks!

Te quality of these images is pretty poor.  Zoomed out its ok.  Is there a way to have a larger image.  Like more pixels or something. I don't know if anyone has played around with this too much.   I'm just beginning to

I'm hoping to just get the contour map printed out as a conversational piece!

I agree, that's be really cool!  Would probably need to draw it up in CAD software somehow for the 3D printer.

I'm hoping to export from Autochart Pro to a 3D print format.  I can then finish the edit to provide the outside framed box.

I am looking to do the exact same thing... Our lake is not that big (~300 acres) and would love to have a 3D printing of it as a conversation piece. I have pretty much mapped the entire lake.

I did connect with Humminbird Customer Service and they mentioned that it is currently not possible to export the 3D map in 3D printer format. Too bad.

Any wizards out there who can create a utility for this???

Thanks!!
