Title: Is the 997 transducer compatible with the 1198?
Post by: promapper on April 18, 2013, 08:26:52 PM
more to the point.

How will I be sure the technician installed the 1198 transducer and ran the wires (not an easy chore) when he replaces the 997?

Let's see, a President Regan quote comes to mind..."Trust but Verify"

"Trust but Verify"-- Good words to keep in mind today.

One possible solution-- ask for the old one back.

Mark the accessories (transducer and other cables) that you want replaced.  Make sure the ones you get back are the ones you marked.
These marks do not have to be real noticeable... (Yes, I have done this before with other things).
