Title: 587 ci HD di Combo vs 798c SI Combo...dilemma

I just bought a 587ci HD di for $400. It's still in the unopened box. In between the time I ordered the 587 online and when it arrived today, I found a brand new, in sealed box, 798c SI Combo for $500. My current finder is a Matrix 12 w/GPS so I am a newbie to all this new technology.

I am looking for opinions on whether you would return the 587 and buy the new but older 798? What features/benefits would I be gaining or losing by going with the 798?

I would appreciate your thoughts...

Get the 798, more power, bigger screen, more options

The 798 with side imaging is the way to go. ;D

Finally got the 798c SI. Now to figure out screen setups and best settings for Northern Wisconsin lakes. Any starting suggestions?
