HBSI convert to file type
« on: February 12, 2010, 06:20:45 PM »
From the HBSI screen   This program will convert Humminbird Sonar Recording Files to Humminbird .XTF, YellowFin .872, YellowFin .XTF or Deep Vision Technology (*.dvs) Format for playback on their respective FREE Viewers.  When I select the output files I do not see the .xtf format. It is either .872 or .dvs.  is this an oversite?     Chuck

You can download the HBSI converter "son2xtf (version 1.001) or "son2xtf for Windows Vista (version 1.001)" from HBs support site.

George when I do that I get a .net error.  see my post on the .net and son2txt discussion.  I was wondering why on the HBSI it said it would convert to .xtf but the output type does not support that.    there is no selection for .xtf.  chuck

chuck,

I just never finished the HBSI to XTF since HB came out with the SON2XTF.  I had big plans for a new program but have not really had the time.
