Has the outline of a boat, what does it measure at?  Change over your SI to shoot one side,  bring distance in and record your passes from several directions and you should come up with some good close up shots to pull from the recording.

Referring to one of your previous post, now would be a good time to compare the 455 and 800 frequencies.
A known target in shallow water.

Good idea! I used the measurement utility in humviewer and best I could tell it is 15.9-16.6 I bet its an old 16ft walk thru or something its about 100yards out from ramp. not much telling this lake was built in 1929

Good deal,  would like to know how the 455 / 800 works out too.  I used it for deeper water and got good shots.  Will have to try this one myself in shallow stuff.

Thx newkid4si

Shucks, in 4.9 foot of water jump over the side and check it out. Weather will be warm before long.  Water temps here in AR are now in the high 50s, up about 10 degrees from last month.  Should be warmer there now. Drag it out and it might be your next ride.   ;)

Chuck41,  I see you are looking at a lot of images trying to learn to interpret......That's exactly what to do.

In this image, the depth is 4.9 feet where the boat is......at the top of the screen.  The width of the water column shows the depth, and where the object is that may be a boat, the water column width is wider by 2 or 3 times what it is at the top where the current depth reading is.
**Looking for the one that makes it all worthwhile**

Well, actually my comment was kind of tongue in cheek. However if you look closely the water column is almost exactly twice what it is at the back of the boat meaning the possible sunken "boat" is only in 10 feet of water. Any 12 year old kid can dive down 10 feet to check out a boat with only cheap WalMart goggles. An average swimming pool is that deep. As the old saying goes, "That ain't no jump for a high stepper."
