Title: interlink question
Post by: whit on November 28, 2010, 11:30:20 PM
If I bought an interlink to link bow and console units, do I have to use the same GPS for both units? Front unit is internal gps and console unit is external gps which is mounted over transducer at rear of the boat. Thats the way I'd like to keep it....if possible. Both units are going to be 798 SI units. (had to take advantage of the Cabelas deal ;))

Once you get it linked up you can choose which gps each unit reads.

No, you can use separate GPS Receivers (internal or external) for each unit.  By default both of the units should use their own external or internal GPS Receiver.
