Post by: skeeter10 on June 17, 2013, 12:45:08 AM
I have 2 1198's a 798 and a 998 that would like to link together so I can reduce the GPS pucks and transducers to one each- one each in the front and one each in the back

all you need is this and some cables. I have a similar system and it works great.

That would have to be a 798ci HD Si model unit as they are the only 798 model that has Ethernet capabilities.

You would need one of the 5 port Ethernet Switches (AS-ETH-5PS) and an AS-EC-XXE cable for each unit to connect them to the Ethernet Switch. [Replace the “XX” with the cable length you need.  They come in 2, 10, 15, 20 and 30 foot lengths.]  You will also need the AS-EC-QDE if you have the 798ci HD Si model unit.
