All,
I was on the water the last four days, and I lost my connection. I checked the plug in the unit. Is there a way i can check the Puck its self?
Thanks

try it with another unit. do you have someone close that has a unit similar to yours that the puck will connect to...
You could try a dealer to see if he has a demo that you could connect to. chuck

Currently I have a two 1198cSI networked with a ethernet cable. I have a second puck that I was going to plug in and see if that fixed it. But did not know if there was a way I could ohm out the puck to see if there was a rating that it was not following. I just did not want to start changing parts. Thanks for the input.
Happy New Year

Yep, I don't know the ohming specs that might or might not tell if it is good or not.. The best way is to swap. since you have a spare that should be easy. Remember the utility screen that shows the connections or not connected. Make sure the menu item is not hidden.. chuck

Make sure your selections in the network tab are still set the way they were when it worked. (an inadvertent reset to defaults may have happened?) Bob

Should be an easy test as all you have to do is set the spare GPS Receiver on the boat (the boat has to be out in the open), take the connector holder apart and plug in the power, transducer and spare GPS Receiver to see if it will work or not. Then replace and rerun the wires if needed.

That is what I ended up doing and found the new puck corrected the issue. Thanks
