Transducer XHS 9 HDSI 1 80 T
« on: April 27, 2011, 12:01:08 AM »
I noticed my transducer from last year must have scraped the ramp concrete and caused scrapes across the outside of the surface, not he shiny bottom section. Everything seems to work OK but my question is can I recoat that section or complete bottom to further protect it or sand and buff it out. I have the ability to do either but didn't want to damage it. Re coating it with a clear epoxy seems the best choice but never encountered this problem especially on a $240.00 piece. Thanks for any help you can provide. Joe ila_rendered

Hollywood; If the xducer is working good and shows no water hurt, I would not try a repair. There is water base paint for xducers, I have not used this type myself. Dont sandpaper the xducer. Roddy
