LakeMaster Auto Chart
« on: October 19, 2016, 10:59:52 AM »
Just ordered my Lakemaster Auto Chart Pro.  My question is this...once i map an area of a lake and convert it to a readable chart...can i share this new map area with a buddy?

Thanks,
Jim   ;D

Yes you can, but it is not as easy as copying from one Zero Lines card to another.   I would recommend buying the LakeImages training DVD's to save yourself a lot of aggravation on this process.  There is an entire chapter on how to keep multiple Zero lines cards.   Good luck!

yes you can get your buddy to buy his own zerolines card and then simply update it as you would your own within autocharts pro program.ds

One more question...maybe 2.
#1  I am recording my data to a blank SD card and then taking that info to my computer to change to contour lines.  Is that the way way i am supposed to do it?  Or I am I supposed to be recording to my Lake Master Card or to my Zero Line Card?

#2  When I am done coverting, do I leave it on the SD card, Zero Line Card or do I copy it to the Lake Master Card?

I am real confused...

Thanks for the help.

Yes .. Record to  a regular SD card.....The ZLC becomes your Lakemaster map card after creating your map with Autochart PC.

Autochart is not intuitive software .... I would recommend getting the tutorial from Lake Images ....They are a board sponsor.  The set of 3 which includes Humviewer and Humminbird PC is a great deal to get you started.

Also, if the body of water you are mapping changes levels throughout the time you are doing recordings....make sure to keep a log of the relative water level.  You can enter that offset when creating the map.  He covers how to do that in the training also.

One more question...
Do I copy my completed maps to my AC SD Card? or does it do that automatically?

The Autochart software copies the map to the Zero Lines Card that came with the software.
I watched the Lake Images training a while back, but haven't actually started using the mapping yet.  You'll save yourself a LOT of hair pulling if you those tutorials.

Maybe do a search for Camohunter's posts.  He did some tutorial posts on here and other forums some time back.  I think he has now moved to another brand sonar and probably has no reason to check in here any more.

I RECOMMEND YOU BUT THEM DVDS I DID BOY WHAT A GREAT HELP. I bought all three. Its nice as you can have both running and switch back and forth as you use you auto chart.  I didn't use a separate SD card, it all went on my zero card. But I am learning.
