Title: Yellowfin software question
Post by: ITGEEK on October 28, 2011, 07:25:05 AM
Good news!
My computer was initially missing some DOS files.
That's why Yellowfin did not install.
Now, it's working.

I know that the Humminbird son files are recorded raw.
In Yellowfin, is there a way to adjust the SI brightness, contrast, sharpness?

Thanks in advance.

glad you found that.  I remember that a while back someone else had the problem but the post never identified the missing files.  Can you expound on this..

Sure Chuck,
When I tried running Setup.exe, I would get the message:
"The WIN16 subsystem was unable to enter Protected Mode".

I did a search on the Internet for that error and found that some of my DOS
programs were missing from my computer (autoexec.nt, config.nt, command.com).

I found a link on CNET that had information that would fix it:

I am now a happy camper.

Chuck,
Do you use Yellowfin?
And if so, are there any adjustments to make the images sharper?

Yes we use YF...Dont know of a lot of enhancements other than the small hi lo med stuff on the color option at the top.  the tool bar on the side does not  make much difference either...
YF seems for us to do fine and the sharpness is good.
On the color option you can select color or black gray.....sometimes this is helpfull.
