AutoChart map sonar recording ?

(1/1)

Trytoofish:
What other options do I have for replacing some bad data from a recording. the recording I have is quite long and good for 95%. But I have a couple areas where my transducer lost bottom contact. and have some bad data in an otherwise nice map. I know i can go and rerecord those areas, but will the underlying bad data distort the new recording? Is there a way to delete segments of a long recording?
Thanks

open map ...before u create map... rt click on bad data point..
then select trace data from drop down this should allow you to "open file "
then a whole set of edit options will open on the toolbar at top...

SWEET! Thanks Dave. Got rid of my bad points. I had to quit editing and save after every edit. If I did several edits then saved. it forgot about the previous edits and only saved the current edit. Have you noticed that?

CamoHunter:
When you trace data, and edit data like that.  You can open the data file and edit all the points from that specific import file.  That way you can delete or edit all the points from that file, save it, and look again for another data file with bad data points.  Then open the next one, edit all of those, and save it.

It is less back and forth that way, and less cumbersome than editing points one by one.
