Post by: fotoguy on May 10, 2015, 08:38:14 PM
Updated my ONIX to the new version 2.30, it updated just fine the only thing so far is when I am moving no matter if it is slow are fast the depth reading is off the charts.

I would check your transducer selection and frequency selected. It acts like you have no transducer connected or selected. I have seen depth jump around a bit on mine but only in shallow water. And switching max depth from auto to a depth a little deeper than i'm in, fixes that.after updating, if you restored defaults some of the selections change.

Same here looks like another patch needed. Mine has been back to Humminbird four times now and need to go back again! Mine won't save data when recording after the last update.Okay

I had two units running at the same time one was my Onix and the other a 859 Sonar / GPS unit on sonar at the same time and got the high depth reading. Now when I run I shut off the sonar on one of the units. Power button, Sonar - Off. That fixed mine.
