998 Screen Captures
« on: April 07, 2012, 10:53:02 PM »
So I bought a new boat and this was the first weekend I got to take it out. I'm still figuring out all of this new technology at my fingertips compared to my old boat, but I think I did alright this weekend. Anyways, the guy I bought the boat from showed me some of his screen captures when he marked waypoints. I marked a few waypoints and the coordinates and everything showed up, but when I got to the screen capture view, it said "no image found". I also have a 2GB PNY SD card in both units. Any idea what the problem is or input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey staoB....Sounds like you don't have the snapshot menu turned on..I don't have my unit with me to give you step by step directions but get into your main menu on your unit keep looking for something that says snapshot and turn it on....Good Luck

Thanks I did turn it on but maybe I didn't save it. I'll have to look when I go back to our lakehouse.

If the Screen Snapshot menu was set to “On” than the unit should automatically save the image to the SD card.  I would try fully formatting the SD card and try it again – this can be done while the boat is on the trailer (unless you just need some excuse to go fishing…).  If that does not work try buying a SanDisk brand SD memory card and try it again.
