Topic: Helix with stand aone GPS engine

Sorry fellow, another question concerning the Helix units. If I upgrade my existing 987c unit to a new Helix 7/9/10 SI can I use the stand alone GPS engine that shipped with my 987c SI? It is a full stand alone GPS antenna/receiver/engine as I understand and it currently drives my 987c and my VHF for DSC (GPS) input.
