humminbird transducer

i need 2 thru hull transducers for my boat with deep keel
the unit i use is a Helix 12 X CHIRP SI GPS G2N .
Can i use the  XPTH 9 HW MSI T - MSI+ ore is this only for the G3N

HB recommends not using any HW xducer with the G2N because G2N transmits 83kHz/200kHz (in original software) and the 83kHz can fry the HW piezo  ...
