Title: For Rickie - Helix Mega SI+ G4N Issues

Went to a local marine dealer today looking to purchase a Helix 8.  They say that a Hummingbird rep told them that the new G4N units were having a lot of issues and delay ordering any.  The dealer advised me against buying a unit just now.  I have not seen anything at Humminbird nor on any web site that major issues were a problem.  Can anyone shed some light on this?

Very few G4N units are actually being reported by actual users on the forums so far  ...

But I have not seen any inherent reportings of problems in those few reports  ...

Thanks Rickie.  It could be he was talking about Mega Live and not about the control head.  Anyway, everything I've seen has been positive.
As with anything made by humans there are always some problems.

I will post updates in this thread if I see reoccurring issues in the G4N units pop up in the forums  ...

I follow several electronics forums  ...

MEGA Live is still slated as late spring or early summer  ... G4N units should be earlier  ...

Thanks for replies.  I think I'm going with the Helix 9 to get a little more screen, the 10 is just a little to pricey for my budget.
