Hooking Helix 5 to Trolling motor
« on: July 17, 2017, 06:35:00 PM »
Just replaced older Lowrance with a Helix 5 SI on front of boat, in your opinion do I hook directly to my Terrova or put the Transducer on side of motor?
Do I loose any features by hooking into Trolling cable?
   Thanks for your help!

The trolling motor transducer is US2 and is 2D only .... If you have a SI unit, the Si won't work .... and unless you change the connected transducer setting, you will have an open circuit on the SI and could risk damage to the unit.
