999 transducer
« on: June 29, 2015, 06:53:25 PM »
I just started installing new 999. The transducer is not tight on pin. Seems to be a lot of play even though all is tight. It will move a lot when trailering and I'm sure a lot when on the water. Is this normal? My old unit the transducer was solid in place. Thanks in advance.

It is normal for there to be a little play in the xducer movement ...

You can squeeze the metal ears of the bracket a little to take some of this play out ...

Any modification that clamps the xducer tightly reduces the effectiveness of the "kickup" design of the xducer/mount design ...
