1199ci hd si-ethernet connection
« on: March 05, 2014, 01:41:05 AM »
Just got my new 1199ci hd si. Wanted to attach my at 360 tm but the ethernet connection requires a $32, 12 inch, adapter cable! I think it is bad enough that they've changed the console plugin, but knowing all their ethernet connectors won't work on their new units, and NOT include the adapter  with the $2300 unit........really?

Yea,
That's not cool of Humminbird.
But, I have learned that the mounting bracket is the same.

I'm thinking of getting an 1199 myself.
So, have you run your 1199 yet, and does it smoke with speed?

I'm curious how quick the map refreshes are, and the
overall quickness of the unit.

It would probably make my 1197 look like a turtle.

IT,
I've only been able to run the sim. and "play" with that. I'm working on making a setup
that I can take out ice fishing for now, since it is going to be a while before we see any
soft water. I graduated up from a 798ci si, so just the size increase itself is eye popping
for me!! I'm looking forward to see what changes I notice once I get it all up and running.

If they included the cable, they would probably charge @2332 for the unit.  :)
**Looking for the one that makes it all worthwhile**
