HUmviewer sub recording errors
« on: April 26, 2014, 06:51:19 PM »
Hi,

I am having trouble making sub recordings of new files recorded on my 1198 C.  I checked some of my oldest ones on a windows XP machine and they sub record just fine.  I think it is a problem with the recent Humminbird firmware updates, but I cannot be sure.  Has anyone else had this problem?  When I make a sub recording, it just stops on B0000 at 50%when I try to open it.

On other files, if I check the box to open the file, it gives an error that: "XXX.dat does not seem to be a valid 64 byte dat file". Humviewer plays these files just fine, it will just not make sub recordings of them.

I have read all of the posts that I can find on this subject and cannot find a solution.  If anyone has found a working combination of computer operating system, firmware and java versions, please let me know. Humviewer is an excellent program for screening my recordings. I just hope there is a solution to make sub recordings again in the near future.
