Title: Helix SI image files, does screen size matter?
Post by: bigkahuna on December 14, 2017, 06:59:58 AM
I'm shopping for a SI sonar for mapping / SAR work in shallow water.  Did some homework and Humminbird's "mega" side imaging looks like the way to go.  I'll use ReefMaster to post process and view the depth and SI files after I've done the survey so I don't really need a big screen.  For use in ReefMaster, does it matter what size Helix display I get?  Or is the file resolution saved at the same size regardless of the display size?

The raw data should be the same for the 9 and up.  The range you have set when recording SI will affect the data that is recorded.
