Making a second autochart card
« on: January 26, 2015, 08:19:20 PM »
So I made some maps of certain areas of a couple local lakes. I made the card and it shows up on my unit. I purchased a second autochart card. I renamed the Lkmaster file on the second card- the original. I copied the Lkmaster file in the AC folder used to make the first card, onto the second card. both cards look the same- as far as folders setup. I put the second card in the same hummingbird unit and nothing shows!! What am I doing wrong. Do I need to map everything to this new card for it to work? Thought we could share our data by copying the AC file from one chip to another.

From humminbird support. Each card has its own encryption, you can not copy the files from one card to another autochart card. you have to update each card through the program. I would assume I have to use the copy of the second card to create any mapping.

Dave, If you don't change the name of the original LkMaster file on the card wont the program overwrite it? I just changed the name of the original LkMaster to the Do not delete.
