Hi All
I'm having an issue with a 997 si where the external gps receiver is undetected. I'm tested my unit with a buddy's receiver and it worked so on a recent trip to the states (from the UK) i bought a new AS GRP receiver. Just got back and hooked it up and still get the gps unconnected message. I updated to software to 6.300 just in case but still no connection. Any help would be much appreciated

Something is amiss if your buddy's GPS will work on your 997 ...
I would think your 997 should see the AS GRP with 6.300 ...
You might try the AS GRP on your buddy's unit just to be sure the AS GRP is working ...
Then you might call HB 1-800-633-1468

Ok so i tried my new AS GRP receiver with my buddies unit and got gps unconected. Also tried his GPS Accessory System receiver with my 997 and got a connection, so either the brand new AS GRP is faulty or the AS GRP is not compatible with a 997, can anyone shed any light on this.

The HB website just says must have 6.300 or higher and doesn't really say if the 997 is compatible ...
You might call HB to get a definite answer ...
