Title: Do I need to load update 4.950 before 5.320?

MY 997cSI currently has version 4.750 installed.  Do I need to add vers. 4.950 prior to 5.320?  Or does 5.320 contain all upgrades included in 4.950?

There is no need to install the updates in order.  The previous version is always completely replace during the upgrade, and you will end up at the same place.

There are a few bug in the current upgrade, so be sure to search for upgrade problems to see if the way you will be using the unit is affected.

I'd also like to know what the issues are and if and when they will be corrected.  I want my 898C SI unit to be working right when I go fishing after it warms up a bit more.

I am not the expert on this, but most of the problems I have seen posted were concerning interlink issues.  Sometimes not compatable with another unit that didn't have the update yet.

I don't know if the update is out for all units yet.

I think there is a down imaging issue if the sensitivity is in auto.  The get around is to run the sensitivity in manual.

A lot of people at first were going back to the previous rev to get things working again.....especially with interlink.

I don't know the current status of problems....it does seem that the complaints have slowed down.

If you plan to interlink 2 units, I would ask about them specifically to see if anyone knows if the problems are resolved.

I have been waiting to update my 1197 til I see the dust settle on the new update since there isn't anything in it I am dying to have.

From what I have been hearing and reading: units with 5.310 or higher software in both units are working.  I’ve helped with a few that didn’t get their InterLink working with this software but it was related to how they loaded the software onto their units and whether they cleared the units and InterLink of Nav Data first or not.

As for the Auto Sensitivity issue in the Di and Si sonar Views: I don’t know where they are on getting this fixed.
