Helix 9 SI transducer location
« on: May 02, 2017, 09:10:47 PM »
I just bought Helix 9 SI. I currently have a Helix 7 DI. The transducer is mounted on the starboard side of the transom. I get good sonar depth readings at speed with transducer mounted in this location. Do you think I would get good depth readings at speed if I mounted the SI transducer in the same location ?

This location "looks" as though the xducer has good contact with the water flow  ...

And you already have the benefit of a mounting board in case the installation needs tweaking  ...

Definitely worth a test in that location  ...
