gulf coast software
« on: September 01, 2014, 07:00:15 PM »
Can anyone tell me who has the best chip for saltwater fishing.   I will be fishing mainly inshore but would like to include barrier islands mainly the Gulf Coast region.   I need good mapping as well as bottom contour info.

It will be used in an 899ci HD SI

The only map cards that are compatible with your 899 unit are the Humminbird-LakeMaster and Navionics mapping cards.  Humminbird-LakeMaster does not cover salt water so you only choice is one of the Navionics mapping cards,

Thanks for the help.
I haven't used my unit very much yet.  I had to send my Lakemaster card in to the service center.  My Minnkota Ipilot link will not give me the option to follow a contour.

Swapped the unit and had the motor control replaced under warranty so I hope it is the map card.

Anyone else have this trouble?
