New to Humminbird - HELIX 9 questions
« on: December 28, 2017, 09:52:20 PM »
Hello and thank you for the add.  I recently purchased a bass boat and it came with two HELIX 9 units.  The electronics thing is a little new to me as I normally fish waters I know like the back of my hand.  However, I am starting to venture out.  I hear the Humminbird units aren’t very user friendly and I don’t want to screw anything up or break them.  My questions are;  I have a list of waypoints my father gave to me before he passed for a lake he use to guide on.  Is there a way to enter them manually on my units while I am at home?  If so how?  Also, once I get them entered how do I get my units to show me the rout to them?  Thank you for any information you can provide.  Please be easy on the newbie...

You can also create new waypoints in Humminbird PC which is free waypoint management software in your Humminbird account when you register your unit at Humminbird.com  ...

Once waypoints are created in Humminbird PC, the waypoints can be downloaded to a SD card and imported into the Humminbird unit  ...

There are help files in Humminbird PC after downloading the program from your HB account and opening the HBPC program  ...
