New Bow Mount Unit
« on: August 16, 2015, 02:11:09 PM »
Hello everyone, I just received my new 959ci HD di for my bow mounted trolling motor. (I know this is a side imaging forum, sorry) I noticed that the mounts for the transducer are for a transom mount, and the manual says I can swap the transom mount for a trolling motor mount, however I cant find any info on this model transducer for a trolling motor mount. Can I mount this on my trolling motor? Or is there a different design mount that humminbird offers? Again, I know its not side imaging but I figured this is the best place to ask. Thanks in advance!

Your DI questions are welcome here ... We discuss everything HB ...

Your 959ci HD DI came stock with the XNT 9 DI T transom mount (200kHz/455kHz 2d- 455kHz/800kHz DI)

You can trade this in to HB for the XTM 9 DI 25 T puck (200kHz/455kHz 2d- 455kHz/800kHz DI) ...which has extra shielding for possible RFI issues ...and is a TM style puck with hose clamp attachments ...

Or you can trade for the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T puck (83kHz/200kHz 2d- 455kHz/800kHz DI) ...which has extra shielding for possible RFI issues ...and is a TM style puck with hose clamp attachments ...

I think you would be better served with the wider 2d coverage in the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ...(the DI piezo in each are the same) ...
