LakeMaster chip release
« on: March 01, 2015, 09:29:33 AM »
Looking to buy a Lakemaster chip. Checked Cabelas and they list all their chips as 2014. Obviously last years. Anybody know when the 2015 chips hit the market?

They have been getting released.  The last one that I got an announcement about was the Wisconsin Version 6, Wisconsin Plus Version 6 mapping cards.  The announcement for these was sent out mid-January.

Did you sign up for messages when you registered your units on the Humminbird web site?

If you registered to receive messages from Humminbird than you should be getting the LakeMaster map card release notices as well.  Which region card are you looking for?

From HB Select I recieved info on the software updates, but nothing on the Lakemaster chips. I fish lakes in Northern IL and Southern Wis. As much as I hate to say it, I may have to buy two chips, one that shows IL and one that shows Wis.

OOPS, I messed up. I went back into some old emails and found one from HB telling me about the new Wis version 6 being released. Sorry.

No worries about missing the message HRwt.
You are right, it looks like you would have to buy two LakeMaster mapping cards.  Have you looked to see if the lakes you want are offered in the ChartSelect maps?

Yea, I checked that. I would need about 6-7 lakes on each chip. The way I see it, for a few bucks more I can get the whole state.
