 Is there any reason the Humminbird AS GRHA High Accuracy GPS wont work as an external for the Onix? I don't see it listed but it is legacy stuff.

None that I can think of Ttf.  You will have to use the AS-GPS-NMEA cable to wire it to the ONIX though.  I asked around but no one here has heard of this being done before.
